Adding the HBase App When You Create a New Hadoop Instance

You can add the HBase App when you create a new Hadoop instance from the CommCell Console.

Procedure

  1. From the CommCell Console, expand Client Computers > pseudoclient.

  2. Right-click Big Data Apps, point to All Tasks, and then click Create New Instance.

    The Create New Hadoop Instance dialog box appears.

    For steps to configure a new Hadoop instance, see Creating a User-Defined Instance for Hadoop.

  3. On the Hadoop Apps tab, click Add.

  4. Click HBase.

    The Configure Hadoop Apps dialog box appears.

  5. Configure the HBase App properties:

    1. From the HBase Node list, select the HBase node.

    2. If a non-root user account is used to manage the Hadoop cluster, in the HBase User box, type the HBase user name.

    3. In the Java Path box, enter the Java path (JAVA_HOME/bin).

      For example, enter /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.7.0-openjdk-1.7.0.45.x86_64/bin.

    4. In the Backup Root box, type the HBase backup root path.

      For example, type /hbase_bkuproot.

  6. Click OK.
