BR*Tools Example: Restoring from an Auxiliary Copy

If the primary copy of the database is not available, in this example, you can restore from an auxiliary copy.

Before You Begin

1. On the destination server, add the CV_restCopyPrec parameter and set the value to the copy you want to restore from.

   If you use the util_file interface, put the parameters in the SAP Oracle init<SID>.utl file.

   If you use the RMAN_UTIL interface, put the parameters in the SAP Oracle init<SID>.sap file.

2. Optional: To have the CommCell Console authenticate the job, configure the parameters for CommCell Console third-party job authentication.
