Browsing and Restoring Data Using Backup Job History

You can use the Backup Job History option to view detailed information about backup jobs for backup sets and subclients. You can view the job history for all backup types such as Full, Synthetic Full, Incremental, and Differential.

Procedure

  1. From the CommCell Browser, go to Client Computers > Client.

  2. Right-click the backup set or subclient, and then click View > Backup History.

    The Backup History Filter dialog box appears.

  3. Click OK.

    The Backup Job History window displays the history for selected job type.

  4. In the Job ID column, right click the backup job and click Browse and Restore.

  5. In the Browse and Restore Options dialog box, click View Content.

  6. Select the data that you want to restore, and click Recover All Selected.

  7. On the Restore Option General tab, choose whether you want to run the restore job immediately or schedule it.

  8. On the Restore Option Job Initiation tab, choose how you want to initiate the restore jobs.

  9. Optional: To further customize the restore operation, click Advanced.

  10. To determine which combination of options is required to meet your needs, refer to Restore Options.

  11. Click OK.
