Changing the CommServe Name in a LiveSync Setup

You can change the CommServe name in both the production and standby CommServe hosts.

Changing the Name of the Production CommServe Host

Change the Production CommServe name. For more information, see Changing the CommServe Computer Name.

Changing the Name of the Standby CommServe Host(s)

1. Perform a test failover to the standby CommServe host. For more information, see one of the following procedures based on your environment:

   • Performing Test Failovers in a Windows Environment

   • Performing Test Failovers in a Linux Environment

2. Change the Standby CommServe name. For more information, see Changing the CommServe Computer Name.

3. Reset the test failover. For more information, see see one of the following procedures based on your environment:

   • Resetting Test Failovers in a Windows Environment

   • Resetting Test Failovers in a Linux Environment
