Cloning a Subclient Using the Command Line Interface

Use the following steps to clone a subclient from your CommCell environment.

This operation is supported for File System Agent and Virtual Server Agent subclients.

Procedure

1. Run the qlogin command to log on to the CommServe computer.

2. Download the clone_subclient_template.xml file to the computer where you will run the command.

3. Replace the values in clone_subclient_template.xml with the values for your scenario.

   Note

   In the clone_subclient_template.xml file, the <content> element is required for the File system subclients and the <vmcontent> element is required for the Virtual Server Agent subclients.

4. On the command line, go to software_installation_directory\Base, and then type the following command:

    
   qoperation execute -af clone_subclient_template.xml

5. Run the qlogout command to log off the CommServe computer.
