Important: This procedure is available only for <Companyname> employees.
You can collect log files from a Distributed Storage cluster, even if the Distributed Storage cluster is not associated with or docked to a CommServe server.
Before You Begin
Verify that the following conditions are met for the Distributed Storage deployment node:
-
The Distributed Storage deployment node is created with Hedvig version 4.0. If the Distributed Storage deployment node was not created with Hedvig version 4.0, contact Commvault Support.
-
The Distributed Storage deployment node has an internet connection that is always available.
-
The Distributed Storage deployment node has the Commvault Hedvig Assist package installed.
By default, the Commvault Hedvig Assist package is installed using ops-hvig-cs1-v as the CommServe server, which is maintained by <Companyname>. If the customer has an on-premises CommServe server, then the customer can install the Commvault Hedvig Assist package using that on-premises CommServe server.
-
Commvault services are running on the Distributed Storage deployment node.
