Configuring Multistreamed Backups for Exchange Databases

Applies to: Exchange 2010 or later

By default, databases are backed up one at a time. You can back up each database concurrently (in parallel) using multistreamed backups.

Procedure

1. From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers > client > Exchange Database.

2. Right-click the appropriate subclient, and then click Properties.

   The Subclient Properties dialog box appears.

3. Click the Advanced Options tab.

4. In the Backup Options area, in the Maximum Streams that can be used box, enter a value higher than 1.

   If the value is equal to 1, the databases are backed up one at a time.

5. Click OK.
