Configuring the Primary Array for the Primary Remote Snapshot Feature

To create the relationship between the primary array and the remote array, edit the snapshot configuration property on the primary array.

Procedure

1. From the CommCell Browser, click the Storage tab, and then click the Array Management icon.

   The Array Management dialog box appears.

2. Select a Hitachi Vantara array, and then click Edit.

   The Array Properties dialog box appears.

3. On the Snap Configuration tab, on the Create primary snap at the replication target site (CCI engines) box, enter the serial ID of the remote array. Use the serial ID of the physical array, and not the VSM name.

4. Click OK.
