Sybase can produce a large number of log files that you must back up to successfully restore your database.
To enable persistent log backup operation for Sybase Agent, create one of the following additional settings:

nSybPersistentBkpRunningTimeInHrs: By default, persistent log backup operation runs for 6 hours. To set the number of hours for which you want to run the persistent backup operation, you can change the value of this additional setting.

nSybPersistentBkpIntervalInMins: By default, persistent log backup interval is 15 minutes. To set the backup interval, you can change the value of this additional setting.
When you disable the feature, the agent backs up each log file as separate backup jobs.

To the Sybase client, add the additional settings as shown in the following table.
