A subclient is a logical entity that defines the Amazon EFS Shares to be backed up.

Open the CommCell Console.
-
Configure a Storage Device.
You must install the MediaAgent to configure a storage device.

Create a network share client and then create a subclient under the Linux File System Agent of the network share client. Use the following steps to create a network share client:
-
On the CommCell Browser, right-click Client Computers, and then click New Client.
The Add New Client dialog box appears.
-
Under File System, click NAS/Network Share.
-
Select the Network Share check box, and then select the Unix check box.
-
In the Client Name box, enter the non-NDMP network share client name.
-
In the Host Name box, enter the fully qualified non-NDMP network share client name/IP.
-
Click OK.
A pseudo network share client is created on the CommCell Console.
-
Create a subclient using the Linux File System Agent created under the network share client. The subclient content can either be a mounted path or auto-mount format. For mounted path content, enter the same path where you mounted the Amazon EFS share on the Linux computer.
Note
To add an access node for the network share subclient, select a linux computer or an EC2 instance where you can access the Amazon EFS share. For subclient configuration, see Linux File System Agent - Configuration.
-
-
You can also create a subclient for the local client computer and make sure that the subclient content is a mounted path. Enter the same path where you mounted the Amazon EFS share on the linux computer. For subclient configuration, see Linux File System Agent - Configuration.
