To create a Data Domain Boost Client Library, use the following procedure:

From the CommCell browser, expand Storage Resources.

Right-click Libraries, and then click Add > Disk Library > Data Domain Boost Library.
The Add Data Domain Boost Storage dialog box appears.

From the Type list, select DD Boost Client.

In the Name box, type a name for the library.

Select the appropriate MediaAgent from the MediaAgent list.

In the Data Domain host box, type the IP address associated with the Data Domain library.
In case of Fibre Channel, add the DFC Server Name.

From the Credentials list, choose a pre-defined credential.

Optionally, click Create New to create new credential to access the Data Domain library. For more information, see Creating a New Credential to Access a Network Drive.

In the Storage unit box, type the name of the storage unit provided in the Data Domain Console.
Note
Deduplication storage policy is not supported.

Click OK.
The new Data Domain Boost storage library appears in the CommCell Browser under Storage Resources|Libraries.
Note
Used space is calculated as Total Capacity minus Free Space. Note that there may be discrepancies between the values shown in Commvault and those displayed in the vendor consoles (such as HPE StoreOnce or DD Boost Client). These differences are typically due to vendor systems including additional overhead or reserved space in their calculations.
