Creating MySQL Subclient for an Azure Database

You need to create a subclient when you want to protect a subset of the MySQL server data.

Procedure

1. From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers > client > MySQL.

2. Right-click the instance, point to All Tasks, and then click New Subclient.

   The Create New Subclient dialog box appears.

3. On the General tab, in the Subclient name box, type a unique name for the subclient.

4. On the Content tab, specify the data to include in the backup:

   1. Click Configure.

      The MySQL Database Configuration dialog box appears.

   2. In the Database Name column, make the following selections:

      1. In the Database Name column select the databases to include in the backup.

      2. In the Subclient Name column, select the subclient to associate with the database.

      3. Click OK.

5. On the Storage Device tab, from the Storage Policy list, select the storage policy name.

6. Click OK.

Result

You can perform all backup operations for the MySQL data from the subclient.
