Creating a Nutanix Files Client for CIFS Shares

After you install the Windows File System Agent on the data access nodes, create a Nutanix Files client in the CommCell Console.

Procedure

1. From the CommCell Browser, right-click Client Computers, point to New Client > File System > Nutanix Files.

   The Add Nutanix Files Client dialog box appears.

2. Select the CIFS check box.

3. In the Client Name box, type a name for the new Nutanix Files client.

4. Click File Server, and then select the array that you created.

   Add the file server into array management if it does not already exist.

5. Click OK.

Result

The Commvault software creates a client that has Windows File System Agent with a default backup set and a default subclient.
