Customizing RMAN Scripts from the CommCell Console

You can modify the customized RMAN script from the CommCell Console.

1. From the CommCell Browser, go to Client Computers > client > Oracle.

2. Right-click the instance, then go to All Tasks > Browse and Restore.

   The Browse and Restore Options dialog box appears.

3. Select Latest Backup, and then click the View Content button.

4. Select the database, and then click the Recover All Selected button.

   The Oracle Restore Options dialog box appears.

5. Select the option for the type of restore operation, and then click Next.

   An Oracle restore options dialog box appears.

6. Click Advanced.

   The Advanced Restore Options dialog box appears.

7. On the Custom RMAN Script tab, select the Customize Script check box.

8. On the Database tab, view the script for the database restore and make any desired changes.

9. To update the custom script, click the Update script button. A confirmation dialog appears asking you to confirm the updated script. Click Yes.

10. Click OK to close the Advanced Restore Options dialog box.

11. Click OK to close the Restore Options dialog box and begin the restore operation.
