Data Views for the Operational Dashboard Report

Resource Availability

This section displays the availability status of key infrastructure components. It helps you quickly identify resources that are currently offline and may impact backup, restore, or copy operations.

What the counts represent

Resource What the count shows
MediaAgents The number of MediaAgents that are currently offline.
Tape Libraries The number of tape libraries that are currently offline.
Disk Libraries The number of disk libraries that are currently offline.
Cloud Libraries The number of cloud libraries that are currently offline.
Standalone Libraries The number of standalone libraries that are currently offline.
Mount Paths The number of mount paths that are currently offline or unavailable.
Drives The number of drives that are currently offline.

Selecting a count opens the corresponding detailed report so you can identify the specific resources affected.

Last 24 Hours Backup Status

This section summarizes backup activity and outcomes during the last 24 hours. It provides a snapshot of backup reliability and highlights failures or delays that require attention.

What the counts represent

Metric What the count shows
Exchange Backups – Success The total number of Exchange backup jobs that completed successfully. This includes jobs that completed with warnings or errors.
Exchange Backups – Failed The total number of Exchange backup jobs that failed.
NAS NDMP Backups – Success The total number of NDMP backup jobs that completed successfully, including jobs that completed with warnings or errors.
NAS NDMP Backups – Failed The total number of NDMP backup jobs that failed.
Pending Jobs The number of jobs that are currently in progress or waiting to run, including jobs in waiting, running, suspended, or waiting-for-resources states.
Strike 3s The number of subclients that have experienced three or more consecutive backup failures within the last 24 hours.
Overall Backup Success – Success The total number of backup jobs across all workloads that completed successfully, including jobs completed with warnings or errors.
Overall Backup Success – Failed The total number of backup jobs across all workloads that failed.

Selecting a value opens the relevant report so you can review the individual jobs contributing to the count.

Capacity Checks

This section highlights capacity-related conditions that may require administrator attention to avoid future disruptions.

What the counts represent

Check What the count shows
Tape Library Growth The number of tape libraries that are reporting capacity-related warnings or critical conditions.
Disk Library Growth The number of disk libraries that are reporting capacity-related warnings or critical conditions.
Data Aging Failures The number of data aging jobs in the last 24 hours that failed or completed with warnings or errors.

Use this section to identify storage growth risks that may affect retention, space reclamation, or future backup operations.

Resilience Checks

This section evaluates the resilience of data protection operations and highlights conditions that may affect recoverability.

What the counts represent

Check What the count shows
DR Backup Failures The number of CommCells that had disaster recovery backup jobs fail, or complete with warnings or errors, in the last 24 hours.
DDB Backup Failures The number of deduplication databases that are currently in a warning or critical state.
Fallen Behind Aux Copies The total number of auxiliary copy jobs whose health status is either warning or critical. This includes both warning and critical auxiliary copies.

Selecting a count opens the corresponding report so you can identify the specific jobs or resources contributing to the issue.

Why This Matters

Because each count links to another report, understanding what each value represents helps you interpret the data correctly and avoids confusion when comparing values across different reports.

Use the Operational Dashboard as a high-level health overview, and use the linked reports for detailed investigation.
