DB2 User Account Credential Management

You can create a credential entity to store, share, and update account credentials for shared resources in your environment.

Adding DB2 User Account Credential

Procedure

  1. In the CommCell Console ribbon, select the Home tab, and then click Control Panel.

  2. Click Credential Vault.

    The Credential Vault dialog box appears.

  3. Click Add.

    The Add credential dialog box appears.

  4. On the General tab, click the Credential list, and then click Create New.

    The Add credential dialog box appears.

  5. In the Credential name box, enter the credential name of the database user.

  6. In the User name box, enter the user name of the DB2 database user account.

  7. In the Password box, enter the password of the DB2 database user account.

  8. Click OK.

Editing DB2 User Account Credential

Procedure

  1. In the CommCell Console ribbon, select the Home tab, and then click Control Panel.

  2. Click Credential Vault.

    The Credential Vault dialog box appears.

  3. Click Edit.

    The Modify credential dialog box appears.

  4. In the Credential name box, enter the credential name of the database user that you want to modify.

  5. In the User name box, enter the user name of the DB2 database user account that you want to modify.

  6. In the Password box, enter the password of the DB2 database user account that you want to modify.

  7. Click OK.

Deleting DB2 User Account Credential

Procedure

  1. In the CommCell Console ribbon, select the Home tab, and then click Control Panel.

  2. Click Credential Vault.

    The Credential Vault dialog box appears.

  3. Click Delete.

    The Confirm Delete dialog box appears.

  4. Click Yes, if you want to delete the DB2 user account credential.
