Deconfiguring a Disk Device for a MediaAgent

You can deconfigure a disk library from a MediaAgents attached to the library.

Procedure

  1. Delete the mount paths that use the device.

    For instructions, see Deleting a Mount Path.

  2. On the ribbon in the CommCell Console, click the Storage tab, and then click Expert Storage Configuration.

  3. From the Select MediaAgents dialog box, do the following:

    1. From the Available MediaAgents list, select the MediaAgents.

    2. Click Add to move the MediaAgents to the Selected MediaAgents list box, and then click OK.

  4. Click OK.

  5. In the Expert Storage Configuration dialog box, click the Shared Disk Device tab.

  6. Right-click the appropriate device, and then click Deconfigure.

  7. Click Yes in the Confirm Deconfigure prompt.

    The device is deconfigured.

    Note

    After restarting all of the MediaAgents that share this disk, the disk is available for other applications.
