Default Data Views for the License Summary Report

This report presents the data in the following sections.

Usage Based License Details

This table appears by default and provides a comparison between the number of usage-based licenses currently available to your organization, and the number of licenses currently used in the CommCell environment.

Column	Description
Category	The type of license. The following license types are included: Protected Virtual Machines Archived Virtual Machines Archived Mailboxes Content Indexed Objects CPU Sockets on Hypervisor Hosts Application Class Virtual Mailbox archive solution End point users End point sharing users End point E-discovery users Disk Library Capacity Deduplication Active Store Capacity Appliance Store Usage
Purchased	Total number of usage-based licenses available to your organization. If the quantity is 0, the feature might be licensed through a different licensing mechanism. For example, virtual machine (VM) protection could be licensed by capacity, per socket, or per VM. If your organization is licensed per socket, then quantities appear in the CPU Sockets on Hypervisor Hosts row, while no quantities appear in the Protected Virtual Machines row.
Used	Total number of licenses used in the CommCell environment.
Term End Date	End date for term licenses, if applicable. If there are no term licenses available, then the column displays N/A.
CPU Sockets on Hypervisor Hosts	The number of CPU sockets on Hypervisor Hosts licenses that are available and the number of CPU sockets on Hypervisor Hosts licenses that are used. To view this information, on the General tab, select VM Socket.
Hypervisor Host	The name or IP address of the hypervisor host where the CPU sockets reside.
Sockets	The number of CPU sockets that consume a license.
End point sharing users	The number of End point sharing user licenses that are available and the number of End point sharing user licenses that are used. To view this information, on the General tab, select Users.
User Name	The first and last name of the user.
User login	The user log-on name for the CommCell environment.
E Mail	The email address configured for the user.
Associations	The associations configured for the user, such as Edge Drive User or Share Folder User.

This table displays a list of categories which represent some components in the CommCell. For example, the Protected Clients category shows:

(Total column) The total number of File System clients in the CommCell.
(Used column) The number of File System clients that backed up their data.

The following table describes what CommCell components are included and excluded for each category:

Content Indexed Objects (In Millions)	Counts all Content Indexed nodes used in the CommCell environment. This includes index, admin or mixed nodes.	Evaluation nodes
CPU Sockets on Hypervisor Hosts	Counts all CPU sockets on a physical Hypervisor host based on the last successful backup (full or synthetic full) of a virtual machine residing in the host.	Hypervisor host where backup jobs do not complete on any of the virtual machines residing in the host.
Deduplication Active Store Capacity (TB)	Total used space of all disk library mount paths under active Deduplication Databases in the CommCell environment. The space is displayed in TB units (Deduplication footprint = Advanced Disk [ADO] or Consolidated Data Storage Option [CDSO] capacity)	Sealed Deduplication Databases

Mailbox Archive Solution Note The License Summary Report in the CommCell Console might display duplicate entries for the same user email address, even though the total calculation includes unique email addresses only once. Because of this, you should refer to the Application Users view of the License Summary Report that appears in the Command Center and the Web Console, which does not display duplicates. For more information, see Application Users in the License Summary Report.	The following user components are included in the Mailbox Archive Solutions license: All active, uniquely named mailboxes that are protected by the following agents: Domino Mailbox Archiver Agent Exchange Mailbox Archiver Agent Exchange Mailbox Agent Exchange Mailbox (Classic) Agent Note Includes all journaled mailboxes. Exchange Mailbox Archiver Agent Exchange Public Folder Agent Exchange Public Folder Archiver Agent Note Backup jobs for the Exchange Public Folder Agent and archive jobs for the Exchange Public Folder Archiver Agent do not consume this license. Shared, resource, or room mailboxes do not consume the license. Front End Capacity Usage Details

This table provides detailed information about capacity-based licenses, arranged by agent. This table appears by default.

Purchased Capacity

The Purchased Capacity section of this table displays the amount of capacity that is currently available to your organization for each of the following license types:

Backup
Archive
Snapshot
Replication

Front End Capacity Usage Details (TB) - Group by Agent

This section of the table provides information about the amount of capacity used by each agent type for each license type. The first row, All, combines the totals from each agent to display the total capacity used in your CommCell environment.

Column	Description
All	The total from each agent for each license type.
Agent	The type of agent that consumes capacity.
Backup	The amount of backed up data protected by the agent.
Archive	The amount of archived data protected by the agent.
Snapshot	The amount of snapshots protected by the agent.
Replication	The amount of snapshot copies protected by the agent.

Jobs

This section of the table lists each job that consumed capacity. To view this table, on the General tab, select Include Capacity Details.

Column	Description
Job ID	The ID for the job.
Job Type	The type of Capacity License that this job consumed. For example, Backup Enterprise or Archive Core.
Client	The client where the job ran.
Client Group	All client groups that the client belongs to. Client Group names are separated by semicolons (;).
Agent	The type of agent installed on the client.
Instance	The instance where the job ran.
Backup Set	The backup set where the job ran.
Subclient	The subclient included in the job.
Storage Policy	The storage policy associated with the subclient.
Job Size	The amount of data included in the job.
Deduplication	An indication of whether deduplication was enabled.
Secondary Encryption	An indication of whether encryption was enabled.
SnapShot	An indication of whether the job included snapshots.

Agent and Feature License Details

This table provides information about the number of agent and feature licenses applied to the CommCell environment. Agent and feature licenses are based on specific installation rights and feature selections. This table lists each agent and feature license, the number of licenses available to your organization, and the number of licenses consumed in the CommCell environment. To view this table, on the General tab, select Include Agent License Details.

Column	Description
License Type	The name of the license. For example: Application Class 1, MediaAgent, and Virtual Server.
Permanent Total	The total number of permanent licenses available to the CommCell environment.
Permanent Used	The number of permanent licenses consumed in the CommCell environment.
Term Available	Number of term licenses available to the CommCell environment. This column appears only if the Include Term License Count option was selected when the report was generated.
Term Used	Number of term licenses currently being used in the CommCell environment. This column appears only if the Include Term License Count option was selected when the report was generated.
Term End Date	The date when the permanent license term ends. If there is no term end date, N/A appears in this column.
Used By	If the license is applied to a client computer, the name of the client computer appears.
Agent	The type of agent installed on the client where the license is consumed. There is one row per client and agent combination.
Install Date	The date that the license was applied to the CommCell environment or the client computer.
Expiration Date	The date that the term license will expire. If there is no term license applied to the CommCell environment, N/A appears in this column.
