You can disable the physical pruning of data on the deduplication database (DDB).
Before You Begin

To perform this action, you must have either the Storage Policy Management capability or the MediaAgent Management capability. If you have the MediaAgent Management capability, to perform this procedure, you must set the value for the configuration Provide user with MediaAgent management rights additional capabilities for libraries, data paths, and storage policies to 1. For more information, see Media Management Configuration: Service Configuration.

You can disable ongoing pruning operations only on Version 11 MediaAgents.

The deduplication database must not be a migrated database.
Procedure

From the CommCell Browser, go to Storage Resources > Deduplication Engines > storage_policy_copy**.

Right-click the deduplication database, and then click Properties.
The Deduplication Database Properties dialog box appears.

On the Settings tab, clear the Enable Physical Pruning check box.
Exception: The Enable Physical Pruning option is unavailable for migrated deduplication databases.

Click OK.
