Discovering SAP HANA Databases Using the Commvault Command Line Interface

You can use the xml to discover SAP HANA databases.

Procedure

1. Run the qlogin command to log on to the CommServe computer.

2. Download the discover_instance.xml file to the computer where you will run the command.

3. Open the discover_instance.xml file and update the XML parameters.

   For information about the XML parameters, see XML Parameters for SAP HANA Instance Configuration.

4. On the command line, go to software_installation_directory/Base, and then and type the following command:

    
   qoperation execute -af discover_instance.xml 

5. Run the qlogout command to log off the CommServe computer.
