You can enable IPv6 support on a computer before installing Commvault software on it.
Procedure
For each computer where you plan to install the software, open the command prompt and then type the following command:
cvpkgadd -display-interface-family IPFamily_Value
Where IPFamily_Value equals one of the following:

0 for both IPv4 and IPv6 support

1 for IPv4 support only

2 for IPv6 support only
