Getting started with Virtualize Me for Amazon Web Services includes installing the Windows File System Agent on the client, installing Virtual Server Agent on the access node, and creating a virtualization client.
Procedure

Verify that your environment meets the system requirements of Virtualize Me for Amazon Web Services.

Review the License Requirements.

Ensure that user has appropriate permissions to perform a Virtualize Me operation.

Verify that system state backup is enabled for the default Windows subclient.
In case system state backup is not enabled for the default subclient, enable backing up the system state data.
Important

While performing backup of a Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 8.1 client, ensure that the Administrator account is enabled.

Do not filter system state components, files, or directories that are required to turn ON the computer. Ensure that the subclient content is defined as /.

Install the Virtual Server Agent on the access node.
Note
You cannot use the CommServe server as an access node for Virtualize Me operations.
