Use this dialog box to enable or disable backup, restore, or data aging operations on instances of all the database agents except DB2 and DB2 MultiNode.
Data Management and Recovery Activity
Enable Backup
Specifies whether backups will occur for this subclient.
If you do not select the Enable Backup check box, then the following rules apply:

The Enable after a Delay button appears to the right side of this operation activity. It allows you to pre-determine the date and time at which data backup operations should begin on the selected instance.

The software does not start any scheduled backups for the instance.

Backups that are running or waiting to run complete do not complete.

The software does not resume any stopped backup jobs.

The software does not start any pending backups for this instance until you enable backup operations on the instance.
-
The subclients that are part of the instance are not included in SLA.
Enable Restore
Specifies whether data recovery operations will occur from this instance.
If you do not select the Enable Restore check box, then the following rules apply:

The Enable after a Delay button appears to the right side of this operation activity. It allows you to pre-determine the date and time at which data recovery operations should begin on the selected instance.

Data recovery operations for this instance cannot be started and are skipped.
-
Running data recovery operations for this instance or agent run to completion.

Pending data recovery operations for this instance do not run until data recovery operations are enabled.
Administration Activity
Enable Data Aging
When selected, data aging operations are allowed on the instance. When cleared:

Data aging operations are skipped on the instance.

The Enable after a Delay button is displayed next to this operation activity. Use the button to specify the date and time when data-aging operations on a client or client group can begin on the instance.
