Deprecated
The OSDP feature is deprecated from the Commvault software in V11 SP15.

On UNIX client computers. The backup source must be from a device that is a Linux Logical Volume Manager (LVM), or a Veritas Volume Manager (VxvM), or a partitioned volume. |
You must also do the following:

For partitioned volumes, set the cvbf cache location on a different volume than the volume that will be backed up.

For Linux, to back up the root partitioned volume, set the cvbf cache location to a volume that will not be part of the snapshot. Edit the following registry key to a value that is different from the default /opt/commvault/CVBF/cache.
