Marking a Disk Library Offline

The status of the disk library indicates whether the library is Ready (online) or Offline. If the status is Offline, the reason is displayed.

If you change the status of the disk library to Offline, the library cannot be accessed by the system.

Procedure

1. From the CommCell Browser, expand to Storage Resources | Libraries.

2. Right-click the appropriate library, and then click Properties.

   The Library Properties dialog box appears. The Status field indicate whether the library is Ready or Offline. If the disk library is offline, the reason for the offline status is displayed in the Offline Reason box.

3. If you want to change the status to Ready, select the Enable Library check box. To change the status to Offline, clear the Enable Library check box.

4. Click OK.
