Migrating Backed-Up Data Using the Migration Assistant for Mac Computers

You can transfer backed-up data from one computer to another by using the Commvault Migration Assistant.

Before You Begin

Gather the following information:

• The CommCell credentials to log on to the associated destination CommServe computer.

• The name of the source computer that you want to transfer data from.

• The Well-Known folders that you want to transfer. If the source computer has multiple user profiles, you can transfer the Well-Known folders of any user profile to the destination computer.

Procedure

1. On the destination computer, go to the opt/Commvault/base folder.

2. Double-click the Commvault Migration Assistant icon.

   The Migration Assistant wizard appears.

3. Follow the instructions in the wizard.

4. On the destination computer, log off, and then log on.

Results

The transferred data is available on the destination computer.
