MM0065: Mount Path Shared Using DataServer-IP is Marked Offline

Symptom

A mount path shared using DataServer-IP is marked offline with the following reason;

 
[Mount path is inaccessible. Check the following.
 a. Is the mount path visible to the operating system on the MediaAgent machine.
 b. Is the username/password correctly entered.
 c. Does this user have read/write privileges to this mount path.]

Cause

A mount path shared using Data Server-IP may be marked offline if the services are stopped in the 'preferred' MediaAgent.

Resolution'

1. From the CommCell Browser, expand to Storage Resources | Libraries | <Library>.

2. Right-click the mount path which is marked offline, and then click Properties.

3. Click the Sharing tab.

4. Note down the preferred MediaAgent. This is the MediaAgent in which the local path is displayed as an absolute path in the Path column. (The Path for the other MediaAgents will have the prefix IP|.)

5. Login to this preferred MediaAgent.

6. Launch Process Manager and then start the services. (See Start Services for step-by-step instructions.)
