Modifying the Notification Behavior for Windows Event Viewer Alert Notifications

In Commvault version 9.0, the Windows Event Viewer alert includes tokens for all entities. To retain this behavior, you must add the WindowsEventsUseDefaultMsg additional setting on the CommServe.

Without this additional setting, only relevant or important entity tokens are included in the alert.

Procedure

• To the CommServe computer, add the WindowsEventsUseDefaultMsg additional setting as shown in the following table.
