Modifying the Properties of the Global Secondary Copy Policy

When a global secondary copy policy is configured in your environment, you can change the values of various global secondary copy properties to enhance performance of consolidating backups from multiple storage policy copies on one media.

Procedure

1. From the CommCell Browser, expand Storage Resources > Storage Pools.

2. Right-click the appropriate tape network storage pool, click Properties, and then click Storage Pool.

3. In the Global Secondary Copy policy Properties dialog box, choose how you want to modify the global secondary copy policy settings.

   • Modify general information, such as:

     • Storage policy name.

     • Number of device streams.

   • Verify the list of dependent copies for global secondary copy policy, see Dependent Copies.

   • To configure advanced options, such as storage policy media password and time zone, see Advanced.

4. Click OK.
