Oracle RAC Snapshot Operations

You can perform the following operations on your Oracle RAC snapshots:

• View the snapshot details

• Mount or unmount the snapshot

• Delete the snapshot

• Revert the snapshot by using one of the following methods:

  • Application-Aware Revert

  • Hardware Specific Revert

    Notes:

    We recommend that you perform an application-aware revert operation so that you can prevent data loss.

    You cannot revert logs.

    Before you perform an application-aware revert, perform the following operations:

    Dismount the ASM diskgroups that are on all nodes except the one that you want to revert

    Shut down the Oracle RAC instances that are on all the other nodes.
