Recovering the OpenVMS File System Data for 1-Touch Recovery

Use the following procedure to recover OpenVMS file system data.

Before You Begin

The destination volume for restore operation must be hard link enabled.

Procedure

1. From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers> client > Proxy File System.

2. Right-click the backup_set and click Browse and Restore.

3. In the Browse and Restore Options dialog box, click View Content.

4. In the left pane, select the top level logical disk that was backed up. For example, DISK$I64SYS.

5. Click Recover All Selected.

   The Restore Options dialog box is displayed.

6. On the General tab, select the restore options.

   1. Select the Overwrite Files check box.

   2. Click Unconditional Overwrite.

   3. From the Destination client list, select the restore destination.

   4. Clear the Restore to same folder check box.

   5. In the Specify destination path box, click Browse.

      The Browsing for destination folder dialog box is displayed.

   6. In the left pane, select the newly formatted and mounted destination disk from the list, by its logical name. For example, DISK$I64REST.

   7. In the Preserve Source Path section, select Remove.

   8. In the level from beginning of the source path box, type 1.

7. Click OK.
