Reference Copy - Restoring Data

You can selectively restore data from a reference copy backup.

1. In the CommCell Browser, go to Client Computers| <Reference_Copy_Client> | File System | defaultBackupSet

2. Right-click the subclient, and then click Browse and Restore.

3. Click View Content.

4. Expand the defaultBackupSet and then navigate to the folder that you selected as backup content for the reference copy job.

   Only data satisfying the applied filters appears in the browse window.

5. Select data objects to recover, and then click Recover All Selected.

6. Clear the Overwrite Files and Restore to same folder options.

7. Specify the destination path by clicking the Browse button. This ensures that the existing files are not overwritten.

8. Click OK.

9. On the Job Initiation tab, select Immediate to run the job immediately, and then click OK.

10. Once the restore job is complete, right-click the defaultBackupSet , point to View, and then click Restore History.

11. Click OK.

12. Right-click the job to view the following details:

    • View restore items

      You can view them as Successful, Failed, Skipped or All.

    • View job details

    • Restore path

    • View events of the restore job

    • View log files of the restore job

    • Send logs in a variety of different formats

    • Resubmit jobs
