Performing Restores from DumpBased Backup Set
Restore from the DumpBased backup set is similar to traditional instance restore. For more information, see PostgreSQL DumpBased Backup Set Restore Operations.
For in place restore, if you select the destination client as cluster client (pseudo client), then the restore will run always on current master server instance.
