Restoring Data an Object Storage Repository to Disk

To restore an object storage repository backup to a file server, use the restore object to disk operation.

Procedure

1. From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers > client > Cloud Apps > instance.

2. Right-click the subclient, and then click Browse and Restore.

   The Browse and Restore Options dialog box appears.

3. Specify the restore operation that you want to perform:

   • To restore the most recent backup, select Latest Backup.

   • To restore the data to a point-in-time, select Time Range, and then in the Start and End boxes, type the date and time.

4. Click View Content.

5. On the Browse page, select the data that you want to restore, and then click Recover All Selected.

   The Restore Options for All Selected Items dialog box appears.

6. On the General tab, provide the destination information:

   1. Click File System.

   2. From the Destination client list, select the appropriate client.

   3. In the Number of Streams box, enter the number of streams to use for the restore.

   4. In the Specify destination path box, type the full restore location path.

7. On the Job Initiation tab, specify whether to run the restore now or if it will be scheduled.

8. Click OK.
