Restoring Documents to a Disk

You can restore the documents from Sharepoint to a disk.

To perform a restore to disk operation when the source client is deconfigured, ensure that the destination computer has both, the SharePoint agent and any version of the SharePoint application installed.

Procedure

  1. From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers > client > SharePoint Server > Documents.

  2. Right-click the subclient, and then click Browse and Restore.

The Browse and Restore Options dialog box appears.

  3. Click View Content.

  4. Click Recover All Selected.

The Restore Options for All Selected Items dialog box appears.

  5. Select Restore to Disk.

    • To restore the documents from Sharepoint to a disk, select Restore to Disk as Original Files.

    • To restore the exported dump of selected files to a disk, select Restore to Disk as SharePoint Native Backup Files. You can then use the restored dump of files like, .dat file, and .xml file, as input to PowerShell import commands.

  6. In the Path box, enter the location to which you want to restore the documents, or click Browse to select a location.

  7. Click OK.
