You can browse and select the files and folders to restore from a backup copy on disk media. Perform file-level restores when restoring a portion of files or folders on the volume.
As the underlying volumes are backed up as extents at the time of block-level backups, the extents that correspond to the selected data are restored when you perform a file-level restore. File-level restores use a pseudo-mount device that represents a point-in-time image of the backed up data.
Before You Begin
Multi-node restores are supported. For more information about multinode restores, see Using Multiple Nodes to Restore Data to NFS-Mounted File System with the Linux File System Agent.
Procedure

From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers> Client > File System >Backup Set.

Note: Cross-platform restores are supported only across platforms that support block-level backups. For a list of supported platforms, refer to System Requirements - Block Level Backup.

In the Specify Destination Path box, enter the destination location for restore.
Alternatively, click Browse to navigate and select the destination location.
