Restoring an Object Storage Repository Out of Place

To restore an object storage repository backup to any of the cloud service providers, use the restore out-of-place operation.

Procedure

1. From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers > client > Cloud Apps > instance.

2. Right-click the subclient, and then click Browse and Restore.

   The Browse and Restore Options dialog box appears.

3. Specify the restore operation that you want to perform:

   • To restore the most recent backup, select Latest Backup.

   • To restore the data to a point-in-time, select Time Range, and then in the Start and End boxes, type the date and time.

4. Click View Content.

5. On the Browse page, select the data that you want to restore, and then click Recover All Selected.

   The Restore Options for All Selected Items dialog box appears.

6. On the General tab, provide the destination information:

   1. Click Cloud.

   2. From the Destination client list, select the appropriate cloud storage.

   3. From the Destination Instance list, select the appropriate instance.

   4. In the Number of Streams box, enter the number of streams to use for the restore.

   5. Clear the Restore to same folder check box.

   6. In the Specify destination path box, type the full restore location path.

7. On the Job Initiation tab, specify whether to run the restore now or if it will be scheduled.

8. Click OK.
