Restoring OpenStack Swift Data Cross-Cloud Using a Proxy Client

You can restore the OpenStack Swift data cross-cloud using a proxy client, for example, to a different Oracle Cloud account which is not configured as an instance in the CommCell Console.

Before You Begin

1. Create a subclient.

2. Perform a backup on the subclient.

Procedure

1. From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers > client > Cloud Apps > instance.

2. Right-click the subclient, and then click Browse and Restore.

   The Browse and Restore Options dialog box appears.

3. Click View Content.

4. Select the data that you want to restore, and click Recover All Selected.

   The Restore Options dialog box appears.

5. On the General tab, provide the destination information:

   1. Under Restore Destination, click Cloud.

   2. From the Destination Client list, select any proxy client that has the Cloud Apps package installed.

   3. From the Cloud Storage check box, select the destination cloud storage account name.

   4. In the Number of Streams box, type the number of streams to use for the restore operation.

   5. Provide the destination cloud storage service account credentials.

   6. In the Specify Destination Path box, type the full restore location path.

6. On the Job Initiation tab, specify whether to run the restore now or if it will be scheduled.

   Note

   If you selected Schedule, set up the schedule.

7. Click OK.
