Restoring a Raw Device File to Its Current Location (In Place)

You can restore a raw device file to its current location (in place).

Procedure

1. From the CommCell Console, go to Client Computers > client > File System.

2. Right-click the backup set, go to All Tasks, and then click Browse and Restore.

   The Browse and Restore dialog box appears.

3. Click View Content.

4. Select the raw device data from the right pane.

5. Click Recover All Selected.

   The Restore Options for All Selected Items dialog box appears.

6. Select the Data in device node check box.

7. Select the Overwrite files check box, and then click Unconditional Overwrite.

8. Click OK to start the restore.

   You can track the progress of the job from the Job Controller.
