Reverting a Sybase IntelliSnap Backup

You can use the revert operation to bring the Sybase database back to the point in time when the IntelliSnap backup was taken.

Note

You cannot revert the Sybase IntelliSnap backup when Sybase software is installed on same volume.

Before You Begin

Review the supported configurations for revert operation. For more information, see Revert for Storage Arrays.

From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers > client > Sybase.
Right-click the instance, point to All Tasks, and then click Restore Sybase Server.

The Restore Options dialog box is displayed.
Click Advanced.
On the General tab of the Advanced Restore Options dialog box, select the Use Hardware revert capability if available check box.
Click OK to close the Advanced Restore Options dialog box.
Click OK to close the Restore Options dialog box.
