Running a Snap Mining Job for Exchange Data

The procedure to run a snap mining data job is the same for all configurations.

Note: Do not use Regular Expression or Active Directory group auto-discovery affinity on a backup set that contains subclients that are configured for snap mining. The subclient content association might not behave as expected and some mailboxes might fail to be protected. Use Database Affinity as the auto-discovery method instead. For more information, review the procedures about grouping mailboxes into user-defined subclients:

• OnePass for Exchange Mailbox (Classic)

Procedure

1. From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers > client > Exchange Mailbox > BackupSet.

2. Right-click the subclient that you created for snap mining, and then click Backup.

   The Backup Options for Subclient dialog box appears.

3. Under Job Initiation, select Immediate.

4. Click OK.
