Scheduling a Restore for VMware

You can create a schedule when performing a restore operation. Any options that are specified for the restore will be used whenever the scheduled restore executes.

Procedure

1. From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers > virtualization_client > Virtual Server > VMware.

2. Right-click the backup set and click All Tasks > Browse and Restore.

3. In the Browse and Restore Options dialog box, select the type of restore and click View Content.

4. On the Content tab, select the data to be restored.

   Virtual machines are listed in the left pane; the configuration and VMDK files of the virtual machine are displayed in the right pane.

5. Click Recover All Selected in the bottom of the window.

6. In the Restore Options for All Selected Items dialog box, click the Job Initiation tab and then click Schedule.

7. Click Configure.

8. Select the appropriate scheduling options.

   For example:

   1. Click Weekly.

   2. Select the days to run the restore job.

   3. Change the Start Time to 9:00 PM.

9. Click OK to close the Schedule Details dialog box.

10. Click OK to close the Restore Options dialog box.
