By default, the SolarWinds instance has a unique name, that is solarwinds_orion. You can use this instance to schedule backup operations for SolarWinds databases. Usually, name of SolarWinds databases is SolarWindsOrion.
Following are the high-level steps to schedule a backup operation for SolarWinds databases:

Manually add solarwinds_orion instance either to a new client or to an existing client.

Create a new user-defined subclient and add SolarWindsOrion database to the new subclient.
Alternatively, you can also add SolarWindsOrion database to an existing user-defined subclient.

Schedule the SolarWinds backup operation using the SQL agent.
