Selecting the Change Journal Scan Method for the Windows File System Agent

When you use the change journal scan method, the incremental backup backs up all the data that changed or was created after the last incremental or full backup.

Note: The change journal scan method does not support the Refs file system. If you use the Refs file system and you select the change journal scan method, then the scan method automatically converts to the recursive scan method and runs the backup.

Procedure

1. From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers > client > File System > backup_set.

2. Right-click the appropriate subclient, and then click Properties.

   The Subclient Properties dialog box appears.

3. Click Advanced.

   The Advanced Properties dialog box appears.

4. On the Advanced Options tab, click Change Journal, and then click OK.

5. Click OK.
