Selecting a MediaAgent for Restore Operations

Select the MediaAgent that you want to use to perform restore operations from the Global Repository Cell. Also, select the MediaAgent that you want to use to perform restore operations on the index.

Before You Begin

• Register the PodCell in the Global Repository Cell. For instructions, see Registering a PodCell in the Global Repository Cell.

• Import the metadata from the cloud into the Global Repository Cell. For instructions, see Importing the Metadata from the Cloud into the Global Repository Cell.

Procedure

1. Log on to the CommCell Console of the Global Repository Cell system.

2. From the CommCell Browser, right-click the CommServe node, point to All Tasks, and then click CommCell Registration.

   The CommCell Registration dialog box appears.

3. Right-click the PodCell, and then click CommCell Properties.

   The Remote CommCell Properties dialog box appears.

4. In the Destination MediaAgent column, select the MediaAgent to perform the restore operation.

5. From the Select MediaAgent For Index Restore list, select the MediaAgent that you want to use to perform index restore operations.

6. Click OK.

7. Click OK.
