Setting a Quota for an External Group

You must make an external group accessible to the CommServe computer before you set a quota for the external group.

An external group must exist on a domain controller that the CommServe computer can reach, and you must associate the external group with a CommCell user group.

Procedure

1. In the CommCell Browser, expand Security > Domains and look for the domain.

2. If the domain does not appear under Domains, perform the steps given in Adding a Domain Controller for Active Directory.

3. Expand domain and click External Groups.

   The External Groups tab appears.

4. Right-click the group name, and then click Properties.

   The Edit Properties of External Group dialog box appears.

5. Select Enforce File System Quota.

6. To specify the amount of backup data that end users can create, in the Disable data protection when quota usage exceeds box, enter a quota amount.

7. Click OK.
