Setting the Storage Policies for Discovered DB2 Instances

After you discover an instance, you can modify the instance data, log file, and command line storage policies.

Before You Begin

Discover an instance for the DB2 database.

Procedure

1. From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers > client > DB2.

2. Right-click the instance, and then click Properties.

   The Instance Properties dialog box appears.

3. On the Data Backup tab of the Storage Device tab, from the Default Storage Policy list, select the storage policy for data backups.

4. On the Log Backup tab of the Storage Device tab, from the Storage Policy for Log Backups list, select the storage policy for log file backups.

5. Optional: On the Command Line Backup tab, select the storage policy from the Storage Policy for Command line Backup list.

6. Click OK.
