Setting Up the Commvault Environment for SAP HANA Large Instance (HLI)

After you configure Microsoft Azure, set up the Commvault environment to allow snapshot operations for SAP HANA Large Instance (HLI).

Procedure

1. Depending on the size of your Azure environment that you want to protect, determine the number of Azure VMs that you will allocate to run the Commserve and the MediaAgent(s).

2. Provision the VMs and install the Commserve and MediaAgents.

3. Prepare the Azure Network Security Group (NSG) to enable the CommServe to communicate with the Storage system.

4. Verify that the Commvault VMs can reach each other, the storage admin network, and the SAP HANA clients and instances.

5. Configure libraries, storage policies, and the SAP HANA agents.

6. Configure the SVM as an array and enable IntelliSnap.
