Troubleshooting - AIX Client when backing up to the SAN Data Server generates the “CONFIGURATION MISMATCH“ entry in errptTroubleshooting - AIX Client when backing up to the SAN Data Server generates the “CONFIGURATION MISMATCH“ entry in errpt
Symptom
When running AIX backups to the SAN data server, the following error entry is generated in errpt:
CONFIGURATION MISMATCH
Cause
This error message is generated due to the lack of vpd_map entry in the PdAt ODM database for the Luns exported from the SAN data server as the vpd_map for these devices are not part of the AIX operating system. This treats the drives as the "Other FC SCSI Disk Drive" and generates an entry for it in errpt .
Resolution
This error does not affect the AIX client backups or the functioning of the SAN data server.
