Subclient Properties (Content)

Use this dialog box to define the contents of a new subclient or to change the content of an existing one.

Contents of subclient

Displays a list of mailboxes included as content for this subclient that will be backed up. The auto-discovered mailboxes are displayed in italics whereas manually discovered mailboxes are displayed in normal font. This is to differentiate which mailboxes will be qualified for Automatic Content Management that can be enabled in Agent Properties (General).

• Display Name

  Displays the Display Name of the mailbox included as content for this subclient.

• Alias Name

  Displays the Alias Name of the mailbox included as content for this subclient.

• SMTP Address

  Displays the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol Address of the mailbox included as content for this subclient.

• Mailbox Store

  Displays the Mailbox Store in which the mailbox resides.

Configure

Click to discover new mailboxes and to change the associations of mailboxes to subclients. Any mailboxes included as content for a user-defined subclient will be automatically excluded from the default subclient.

Only backup following folders (separated by ;)

This allows you to backup messages that reside in a specific mailbox folder (for example, Sent Items). Messages residing in any subfolders that exist within the specified mailbox folder will also be backed up. Other folders in the mailbox will not be backed up.

Backup Archive Mailbox

This enables to backup the Archive Mailbox of all the configured Mailboxes for the particular subclient.

Perform backup using mining off snapshot

Specifies to run a data protection job from an offline snapshot copy of the Exchange data. Snap mining can improve performance in that it offloads processing on the production application server.

Exchange DB client

Specifies the client computer where the Exchange Database is located and where the snapshot was created.

Agents

Specifies the Exchange Database agent that was used to create the snapshot of the Exchange data.

Instance

Specifies the instance of the Exchange Database agent that was used to create the snapshot of the Exchange data.

Backupset

Specifies the backup set of the Exchange Database agent that was used to create the snapshot of the Exchange data.

Exchange DB subclient to use

Specifies the subclient of the Exchange Database agent to use for mining the IntelliSnap backup.

Proxy Client

Specifies a proxy computer to run the data protection job of the snapshot on a Proxy Client.

Content Supported in the Body

The body of each message supports these fields:

• UserMailbox inserts the recipient's mailbox name.

• SubclientQuota inserts the backup storage quota (limit) that applies to the mailbox.

• CurrentUsage inserts the amount of backup storage currently being used to back up the mailbox.

• Percent inserts the percentage of the quota that is currently being consumed to back up the mailbox.

• ServiceAccountMailbox inserts the account name from which the warning email is being sent.
